Thank you for sending in your news and views which are so helpful for families considering treatment.

"My 4 year old son has been diagnosed as Autistic."
"I knew being a Mother would be a challenge but I did not know it would be THIS hard! My son has just been diagnosed as Autistic which is a terrible shock – I knew something was not quite right but this label is beyond my worst fears. The support and understanding I have been given by the Sunflower Trust is a tremendous bonus and it is most reassuring to know that a sympathetic ear and good help IS at hand. When I look at my son tucked up in his bed at night looking so peaceful it is hard to reflect on the difficulties in the day."

"My 4 year old daughter has been diagnosed as Autistic."
"My daughter was misbehaving in a restaurant the other day and I explained that her behaviour was completely out of my control. A lady passed me the telephone number of the Sunflower Trust. I believe true help is at hand which will help ALL my family."

"I was in tears in the school car park."
"Another day at a competitive school had brought yet more misery. My child was under-performing and upsetting the rest of the class – how much more of this emotional battering could I handle? A kind mother gave me the telephone number of the Sunflower Trust. Following a telephone call, when I learnt more about Sunflower Therapy, I no longer felt odd and isolated but part of a growing number of needy families. Good help IS available."

"My 15 year old son has now taken a course of Sunflower Therapy for 18 months"
Every day we continue to see improvements beyond our wildest dreams. He continues with his exercises and looks after himself, drinking and eating well when there is continual temptation to stray from the straight and narrow! He has organised himself a timetable which enables him to go to bed at a sensible time when he would rather be watching the football on SKY, which enables him to complete an excellent standard of homework and have a decent amount of leisure time. My son is now very confident, can cope with all situations, is peaceful, co-operative, communicative, kind, and hard-working and has achieved an excellent balance in life. The difference from 18 months ago is truly a miracle!"

Bursaries
As a charity we have been very fortunate in receiving kind donations from Trusts, industry and individuals who are keen to support our work with underachieving families. This enables the charity to offer bursaries to children who may not otherwise be able to afford treatment.
