UK Practitioners

The Sunflower Trust has qualified practitioners across most of the UK.  Please click on the map in your area, complete the enquiry form or contact the Sunflower Trust (0845 054 7509) who will provide full details for your nearest Sunflower practitioner.

Sunflower practitioners are obliged to keep their skills and knowledge up-to-date with a lifelong learning programme of continuing professional development (CPD).  This can include lectures, seminars, courses, practical sessions, individual study or other activities that can advance a practitioner’s professional development.

The Sunflower Trust requires all registered Sunflower practitioners to complete at least 10 hours of CPD every year specific to the Sunflower Programme and in addition to the CPD requirements of their own profession. Often Sunflower practitioners work on their own and group learning allows them to exchange information and expertise with others.

The Sunflower Trust believes that regular knowledge transfer ensures practitioners are dedicated to the higher levels of success in facilitating the health, growth and development of young people to maximise their potential in the most efficient, respectful, effective and meaningful ways.

In doing this, we're committed to on-going improvements and to remaining at the forefront of what we have to offer our patients. We focus on maintaining high levels of ethical conduct, competence and sensitivity to our patients, our profession, each other and the society in which we live.

The Sunflower Programme was pioneered by Mark and in 1995 he set up the Sunflower Trust.

Richard StenningRichard Stenning BSc Mech Eng, BSc Chiro DC
Richard Stenning qualified with a degree in Chiropractic in 1991 having originally gained a degree in Mechanical Engineering, the common theme being an understanding of the importance of function and structure. Since graduating he has been in private practice in East Devon. He completed the Sunflower training in 2000 and is a member of the Sunflower Academy teaching staff.  He has undertaken extensive post-graduate training in Applied Kinesiology, NLP and other methods that investigate the neurological aspects of improving health.  The Sunflower programme provides the framework in which to express these skills to help children achieve their potential.

Mark KennedyMark Kennedy BSc DC
Mark came to chiropractic because he thought being able to help people get well using such simple methods was incredibly clever and worthwhile. The Sunflower Programme attracted him as he could use his chiropractic skills alongside other alternative and natural therapies. Alongside his Sunflower practice, Mark runs a multi-disciplinary clinic in Winchester specialising in the treatment of back pain and sports injuries. Interestingly, many of the Sunflower techniques are equally applicable to his adult patients who benefit enormously from the improved nervous system function that the Sunflower Therapy provides to the children that he sees. Mark lives in the New Forest with his wife, two daughters and a large shaggy dog, all of whom have received help from one aspect of the treatment or another, except the dog, which is beyond redemption!
