Confidence

Confidence is closely linked to our sense of safety, acknowledgement from others and being in control. If your child is struggling in some way at school or with life in general, it is very possible that he/she will be suffering from a lack of confidence in some way. When a child lacks confidence, it is evident in the way they walk and stand. Think for a moment about how you stand when you feel able to do something: your shoulders are back, your face is looking up and you feel strong and happy. Now think about how you stand when you feel unable to cope with something: you have drooped shoulders, a sense of fear/self-doubt and you will probably be looking down.

The Sunflower Programme recognises that every child is a dynamic integrated organism. So, to help a child become more confident, it is important to examine much more than their self-image. Their physical structure needs to be examined as well as their nutritional balance - perhaps they are lacking in a vitamin or mineral that is contributing to their feeling of low confidence. Perhaps there is chemical and neurological imbalance too that is contributing to the confidence issue.

The Sunflower practitioner has the necessary skills to look at all of these issues in relation to each other. There is no need for your child to visit a number of different specialists; the Sunflower practitioner has all the necessary skills to hand. That is what makes the Sunflower Programme an efficient and economical approach to wellbeing.
